There is something fun and important that we could all do this weekend. Get on your bike and show the world how you feel about climate change! As I am a Melbourne person, I thought it would be fun to meet as many people as possible this Saturday 24th October at 10.30am - at the Melbourne Museum, Rathdowne street car park. We will be riding to represent our concern, and in turn, construct a massive human bike sign to show world leaders at Copenhagen how we feel.

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5th in over 100 countries world wide. The 2009 theme is climate change and more importantly what societies can do in response. Combating climate change is a major issue for everyone, so every individual effort, no matter how small, can contribute to the fight against climate change. Today, individuals, non-government organisations, community groups, business have organised activities to renew their commitments to protect the environment. So if you haven’t organised anything there are many activities in your area that you can participate in from clean-up campaigns to tree planting or simply just check out the the daily do something tips. Happy W.E.D, let’s make 2009 the year we combat climate change together!

Last Sunday, May 17th 2009, over 5000 schools kids, families, friends, communities and organisations gathered to form a great big Human Sign on St. Kilda beach in Melbourne. There are many people of late that are very unhappy with the lack of government action towards combating climate change. So it is great to see when a group of individuals, young and old, unite over the same concern, Climate Change. By the way, this years message, CLIMATE CHANGE - OUR FUTURE IS IN YOUR HANDS, was submitted by an 11-year old student, Sophie Dickinson, who along with her school helped to create this human message to the government. Last week Ripple Products was one of the many innovative companies to participate in the annual Save Water Save Energy Expo, held in Melbourne at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Coinciding perfectly with National Water Week, the Save Water Save Energy Expo definitely lived up to its name by showcasing the latest water and energy conservation products, services and solutions available on the market. We were all delighted here at Ripple Products to see our shower timer range displayed in the Sustainability Victoria Resource Smart’s bathroom. All in all the Expo was very well received, demonstrating to its visitors how easily we can all save water and energy.
